Sometimes when attempting to send a bulk email via MailChimp, MailChimp may return an error that the “Campaign is not ready to send.” Below you will find steps to work around this issue:

When this error occurs, it is typically because MailChimp has failed to update the campaign with the recipients that Clubspot indicated. We have noticed that waiting 1-2 hours can resolve the issue, as MailChimp “catches up” and finally recognizes the recipients. At this point, you will be able to send the campaign. Unfortunately, this is workaround that still relies on MailChimp catching up, and we therefore do not have any visibility into when that will occur.
The permanent solution is a simple upgrade to Clubspot’s own bulk email service - a service we developed in-house to provide rock solid reliability, industry-best deliverability rates, and extra granular send statistics.
