Create a new product

1. Navigate to Products > Products”+ new product” in the right corner
2. Enter the name of the item, the price, and select the type and subtype. Entering the appropriate type and subtype is important to ensure that your new item picks up the appropriate tax, accounting, and printing logic (if using ticket printers).
3. After adding a product, you have the ability to manage the option groups specific for that item. This is how you can apply any modifiers that the item should have.
4. Finally, Select the Tags section to tag that product to the appropriate category. This step is necessary to ensure that the item is added to the POS.

Product Tags

Products appear in the Point of Sale app based on the tags you have configured for a specific point of sale location. For instance, you may have a tag for “Appetizers” with one or more Point of Sale locations configured to display products with that tag. Make sure to tag your new product with one or more tags so that it appears in the Point of Sale application.

1. Navigate to Products > Product Tags > ”+ new Tag”
2. Enter a name
3. Click on the created tag and choose “+ tag a product”, search for the products you would like to associate with that tag.
