Here is a guide for club admin to use when setting up their iPads for the Point of Sale! This will help guarantee optimal efficiency while using the POS system.
Article Navigation:
Removing the passcode for your iPad will allow your staff members to input orders, close-out checks, etc with much more efficiency and ease.
Navigate to Settings>General>Passcode Lock>Turn Passcode Off
By setting your iPad’s Auto-Lock to a longer time interval, it will cut-down the time your employees spend loading the POS system and more time attending to their guests! For devices that can remain plugged in like a POS behind the bar, setting the Auto-Lock to never can be a great option.
Navigate to Settings>Display & Brightness>Auto-Lock>15 minutes OR Never
Bookmarking your club’s POS system is a great way to ensure that any staff member or club admin will be able to launch the Point of Sale with a simple click of a button.
Open your browser (Chrome or Safari)>navigate to club POS system>touch and hold the favorites icon at the bottom of the page>Add Bookmark>Name it>Select Save

We have found it helpful to ensure that your various staff members know the login details for the POS user they will be logged in as. As a best practice, we recommend writing down the username and password in a safe & secure place that all necessary staff members can easily access.

Sometimes the onscreen iPad keyboards are not the most reliable. If you have an external iPad keyboard, this will ensure that you will always be able to type on your iPad screen. We recommend Logitech or ZAGG for bluetooth keyboards!
