This article provides the reasons why recipients may not be receiving your email communications. The suppression list is the list of emails that Clubspot will not send to even when included in a given group. The list is made up of three statuses. Email users who have unsubscribed, users that have issued a complaint or marked messages as SPAM, and bounced addresses that could not be reached.
If an email address has been unsubscribed from your mailing list, it will not receive any of your email communications. You can see who's unsubscribed from your mailing list by navigating to Communication> Suppression List and checking the ‘Type’ column for Unsubscribe. You can also click Add Filter to sort the list by Unsubscribe, Bounce, or Complaints.
Click the three dots to the right on an unsubscribed email to resubscribe them.
<aside> ⚠️ Do not re-subscribe someone who has not explicitly requested to be resubscribed. Users who unsubscribe have opted out from receiving your emails. Resubscribing emails without the consent will result in complaints and lower deliverability on messages.

Complaints arise when a recipient marks your emails as SPAM or otherwise submits a complaint. Complaints are serious because they will impact your deliverability. Having too many complaints indicates to the email service that you may be not respecting the wishes of unsubscribed users or are in other ways abusing the service to send content that users are consistently flagging as SPAM. Although there is not a direct threshold, clubs that accumulate too many complaints can risk being blocked from the email service so it is important to ensure the content of emails is aways targeted to and appropriate for the list of recipients you are sending it to.
Complaint emails are automatically added to the suppression list without the option of removal.
Bounces take place when an incorrect or otherwise unreachable email address is used. These will almost always be incorrect addresses and cannot be removed from the suppression list. To correct these the email on the member will need to be updated to the valid address.
You can also add an email to unsubscribe. Click + Unsubscribe and enter the email to suppress. Keep in mind this will unsubscribe them from all club communications
